THE POLICE!

Con un po' di ritardo dovuto a impegni dei più vari (il lavoro...) rieccomi. Per ricordare un momento storico: nell'unica data italiana qui a Torino, come e dopo gli U2 il 21 luglio 2001, ecco i Police. Saranno sempre grandissimi ma, l'età, la voce che impone quasi tutte le canzoni un tono più basso, i ritmi non più superrapidi come una volta (prendi 'Truth hits everybody' per esempio), non ne sono uscito esaltato come speravo. Ma comunque c'ero.

After some delay due to really busy time (my job...) I'm back. To remind an historical moment: in the only italian event here in Turin, as the U2 on the 21st of july 2001, here are the Police. They will always be great but due to their age, their voice that pushed them to sing most of the songs one tone down, the rythm of the drums not superfast as in the past (take 'Truth hits everybody' as an example), so I wasn't exalted as I hope. But I was there.

Diverse la band di support: oltre ad un'orchestra pugliese che suonava la taranta insieme a Raiz, c'erano i Fiction Plane, la band del figlio di Sting. E poi a seguire i The Friend, The ununcountble trees, By sideways, Clean Vision, gli Exit, ecc. ecc.
Many opening bands: an italian orchestra from Puglia playing 'taranta' (a traditional dancing) together with the famous neapolitan singer Raiz (he also payed with Massive Attack), there were the Fiction Plane, the band of Joe Sumner, the son of Sting. And then The Friend, The ununcountble trees, By sideways, Clean Vision, the Exit, etc. etc.
