POLAND

Terzo viaggio in terra polacca, a fine aprile, in compagnia di vari colleghi + Raul.

Meta del viaggio lo stabilimento Fiat di Tychy per una 4 giorni che si rivelerà piuttosto intensa e faticosa, ma arrivo e partenza dalla città di Katowice.

Dai -7°C della prima trasferta, ai quasi 30°C che troviamo stavolta così su al Nord: è praticamente estate e dall'alto dell'aereo capiamo che ci sono foreste e posti bellissimi.

Ma sempre dall'alto si capisce che questa terra soffre ancora dei postumi del post-comunismo, e i luoghi in particolare ne portano i segni, anche se la gente non sembra si renda conto del senso di tristezza che invece mi pervade quando penso alla Polonia.

Vediamo nella piazza centrale una discoteca dove coppie di persone anche piuttosto anziane si divertono in balli, rispetto a Torino ci sono sicuramente molto più giovani.

I tram, evidentemente molto usati, sono sicuramente dei modelli vecchi, ma che devono essere sfruttati il più possibile.

Ma forse a causa della latitudine, col sole che sorge prestissimo e in inverno tramonta altrettanto presto, la sera non ci sono troppe persone in giro.

Di certo si mangia e si beve bene a costi per noi italiani molto accessibili e l'albergo, bello, almeno la mia stanza è nella parte nuova, è quasi di lusso per il polacco medio.

Non è forse il massimo, ma tornare e passare momenti piacevoli per divertirsi un po' anche durante i momenti più problematici del lavoro, sicuramente mi farà piacere.

 

Third trip to Poland, in late April, with several colleagues + Raul.

Destination is Fiat factory in Tychy, for 4 days, that will be rather intense and tiring, but arrival and departure are from the city of Katowice.From -7°C during the first trip, to nearly 30°C that we've find this time here in the North: almost summer, and from the plane we see that there are forests and beautiful places.

But always from above we understand that this land is still suffering the aftermath of post-communism, and some places in particular bear the marks, even if people do not seem to be aware of a sense of sadness that permeates myself when I think of Poland.

In the central square we see a nightclub where old couples, also elderly people, have fun in dancing, and there are certainly much younger boys and girls than in Turin.

Trams, intensively used, are models definitely old, but that must overwork as much as possible.

But because of the latitude maybe, conidering that the sun rises early and early sets during winter time, in the evenings there are not too many people around.

Surely you eat good food and drink good beer, at a very affordable price for us italian and the hotel in which we stay, quite beautiful, and my room is in the new side, is almost luxurious for the average  Polish citizen.

It's not the greatest place to see, but coming back and spend pleasant time to enjoy even during the most difficult moments on the job, I will certainly be pleased to do it again.
